Brief Description:  Power Supply Lug

The panel and associated equipment inside the aircraft require a good size
supply of electricity. I chose to use a marine power pass through for the firewall
penetration. The lug needed some work to make it all work safely.
Since the lug is plastic it needed to be fire proofed on the engine side.
So the ears were thinned so enough would protrude on the engine side to
get a clamp and fire sleeve in place around the lug and wire.
With the lug in place I now have a ready, large supply of 12 volts fed from
the master solenoid in the cockpit. The wire used to feed the lug is
#4AWG approved for use in aircraft.
The fire sleeve and lug were coated and filled with 3M Fire Barrier 2000+.
